Acupuncture & Dry Needling CPD
This week’s CPD session (16th June 2017) at Sports Physio UK was based around the use of Acupuncture.Here at Sports Physio UK we facilitate regular training and regular clinical development within the team.[caption id="attachment_6849" align="alignnone" width="139"]
Fine acupuncture needle being inserted[/caption]The team included therapists trained in acupuncture, and an alternate form of needling called Dry Needling. Other members of the team (including our receptionists) who do not use acupuncture/dry needling attended to improve their knowledge and understanding of the treatment modality. This collaboration amongst our staff & therapists enables us to better understand each others specialities and continually develop our collective skills.

- knowledge and understanding of acupuncture & dry needling
- concepts and how they explain the benefits to patients
- conditions commonly treated
- points commonly used
- techniques/treatment plans
- methods of promoting a more effective treatment environment
The team also discussed the overlap between eastern and western needling and other treatment approaches such as muscular anatomy, anatomy trains, NKT, relaxation, meditation, reiki &reflexology.[caption id="attachment_6857" align="alignnone" width="773"]
